Wheelchair Transportation

Wheelchair-accessible vehicles with trained securement — availability confirmed when your trip is scheduled.

Who this service is for

  • Passengers who use a manual or power wheelchair
  • Riders who cannot safely transfer to a vehicle seat
  • Families and facilities coordinating accessible transport

Common trip examples

  • Wheelchair-accessible ride to a medical appointment
  • Discharge from hospital to home in your own chair
  • Recurring accessible transport to treatment

What passengers can expect

Drivers trained in wheelchair securement position, secure, and check every restraint point before the vehicle moves. Ramps or lifts are deployed on level, safe ground and your driver remains with you throughout boarding and exit. Tell us your chair type and dimensions in the request form so we can plan the right vehicle.

What we need to schedule

  • Wheelchair type (manual or power) and approximate dimensions
  • Whether you can transfer independently
  • Stairs, elevators or entry notes at pickup and destination
  • Companion or escort needs

Availability varies by day, vehicle type and service area. Submitting a request does not guarantee transportation until the trip has been reviewed and confirmed by Safety First Transportation.

We accept private pay and work with facility accounts. Insurance and payment options vary by plan and trip type. Verified payer list to be published
